Two Mardi Gras Weekends Come to Fireside!

With no official Mardi Gras in New Orleans this year, Fireside campers can enjoy a taste of the Mardi Gras spirit on the weekends of Feb. 6th and 13th. While we are still the “peace and quiet campground”, we still know how to have fun that the whole family can enjoy! For our guests who enjoy long term camping and are staying with us via our monthly snowbird special, this will be a great perk of staying with us through the winter season!

Bring your Mardi Gras decorations! We will have TWO winners, one for each weekend, with winners announced on Saturday. The best-decorated, Mardi-Gras themed RV will win a free weekend stay at Fireside RV Resort – make sure you go ALL OUT!

Golf Cart Parade at 2:00 PM

Bring the treats – candy, beads, throws – and bring the golf carts, as we kick off our Mardi Gras golf cart parade at 2 PM on Saturday the 6th and 13th. Roads will be closed from 2 – 3 PM for safety. View the map below for the parade route – make sure to arrive at the starting point early!
